Fashion Studies features materials on the history of fashion, costume, and clothing, including significant programs and documentaries on designers, fashion shows, textiles, garments, and accessories. Students, teachers, and researchers can explore the evolution of designers, styles, and trends from the 1970s through today while reviewing the changes in the industry and the influence of society evolution. The resources support courses not only in fashion studies, design studies, history of costume, and fashion merchandising but also in social and cultural history, gender studies, art history, theater, film, sociology, anthropology, and material culture at the university and college level and in public libraries as well as in professional programs.
